MEMBERSHIP :: MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

ACTIVE STATUS

  1. Attend general meetings. It is important to let your placement advisor know if you are unable to attend.

  2. Dues are $100.00.

  3. Every active member is required to fulfill yearly placement requirements and financial requirements (consult placement advisor).

  4. Privileges - May vote, hold office or become a non-resident member.

ADVISORY ACTIVE STATUS

  1. Attendance at meetings is not required, except the annual meeting.

  2. Dues are $100.00.

  3. Attends annual placement interviews.

  4. Requires four years of active membership to qualify.

PROVISIONAL STATUS

  1. Attend all provisional and general meetings. Please contact placement advisor if unable to attend meetings. There are specific requirements for attendance - consult the Membership Development chairman.

  2. Dues are $100.00 or on a pro-rated basis, plus a $10.00 administration fee.

  3. Provisionals must complete provisional course to become an active member.

  4. Provisionals may not vote or hold office.

NON-RESIDENT STATUS

  1. Attendance at meetings and placement are not required.

  2. Dues are $95.00.

  3. Dues are payable to home Junior League.

  4. May not vote or hold office.

  5. This status available for no longer than two years if there is another League in the member's vicinity.

SUSTAINING STATUS

  1. Attendance at meetings and placement not required.

  2. Dues are $85.00.

  3. Suggested duties are to be involved in the sustainers' organization, and advise and assist active members as needed.

  4. May not vote or hold office.

  5. Is eligible for AJLI positions.

  6. Sustainer chair is voting member of the Board of Directors.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE STATUS

  1. Attendance at meetings and placement not required.

  2. Dues are $100.00.

  3. Encouraged to attend general meetings and support all JLSF functions.

  4. Attends an annual placement interview.

  5. The duration of a leave of absence is four months and may be renewed by the Placement Committee two times for a total of 12 months.
